Passing parameters though master sequence

In Datastage 8.0 version, I am trying to pass the parameters from master sequence to child sequence.

The child sequence is taking the values from parameter set value file i.e the default value but not the value from master sequence given at run time.

The same job is exported into datastage 8.1 version, its working fine.

what could be the issue with the environment?

Go to the job properties in each seq and then view the parameter set and check the values.

Probably nothing. The 8.0 version was notoriously buggy, perhaps there is a fixpack that corrects the issue.
