You mean other than what's already in the installation and configuration guide?

Craig,
Yes. Since this is first time I am going to install Information server 8.5 on Unix, I have some doubts.
Please suggest me if you have any set of steps to install

I would suggest following the steps laid out in the Planning, Installation and Configuration Guide. Installing into Linux for System z won't be much, if any, different that any other Unix/Linux install.

As always with any installation, make sure that the server(s) you're installing into meet (and preferably exceed) the minimum system requirements and, more appropriately, are properly sized for the expected workload. I've found that clients typically under-allocate resources to the zVM guests IIS is being installed into, believing that the virtualization somehow (magically?) makes up for it.
