Hi Ray

We have installed Infosphere 8.5v Server edition on Windows 2003 server Platform.

We have installed it last week.
It worked fine till yesterday.(I was able to open and run all the DS Jobs)

We are facing a strange error today while opening any of the DS components and Infosphere Web console.

We are trying to login with root user only.We have configured this user thruogh LDAP.

Error :

"Failed to authenticate the current user against the selected Services Tier

Failed to get roles for user [etltestadmin]: Unable to begin a transaction: [Can't lookup a connection]"

Can anyone help me in finding why this error has occured?

Hi Ray

After debugging,we found that the issue is because we are not able to stop the WAS services.

When we tried to stop the WAS services,we got the below error :

Can anyone please let me know how to resolve this issue.

We are logging with root user only.

Error :

Hi

I was giving the correct credentials only.

Finally we had resolved the issue :

I had deleted all the logs and started the WAS server again and found that the connection was failing connecting to Oracle sever in the StartServer.log.

The issue was that ,Metadata Repository was down.

Once the Metadata Repository was up,we are able to login as usaully.

Thanks
