Not able to connect to Datastage server

Hi I have installed the Datatsage server and Datastage client but I am getting below error while connect to Datastage server via client

Could not connect to server on host(XXX) on port (9080)

Any idea why this is happening?

I am giving ip address as host name.

Try localhost:9080 with username and password.

We have tried that option also .but still same issue

Are the ports open on your system through which you are trying to connect..
If Ports is not a issue then check your firewall also might be it is blocking your connection..
