I got a question from our DBA today if it was possible to implement oracle TAF (Transparent Application Failover) within datastage. After looking through the Redbook "Infosphere Datastage Parallel Framework Standard Practices" it is said that this is possible with new oracle connector.
I've gone through the options of this stage but I am not able to find the necessary settings. Does anyone know how I have to configure the stage (or other settings) to make it work ?
Has anybody got experience using oracle TAF ? Does it work properly in datastage 8.1 ?
The redbook only states that is possible but without going into detail (see page 250-251 of the book
