hi,

Can anu one tell me the advantages and drawbacks of using datastage in built scheduling option in director rather than using Unix crontab or third party schedulers such as Autosys or TWS?

Thanks

The 'DataStage scheduler' on UNIX is cron. Enterprise schedulers are more robust, support dependancies and can schedule anything rather than just jobs.

In addition to what Craig wrote, using a third-party scheduler means you can create dependencies between DataStage and other runtime engines, or, as in my case, multi-platform schedules using Windows and mainframe.
