Unable to export Datastage project

Post by cosec »

Hi All,

We are unable to log in to the datastage console (Datastage Designer, Administrator etc..). We were told my IBM that it is probably because the xmeta is corrupt. However, we were able to run the datastage jobs from the command line.

I need to take a backup of the project. So, I tried the following commands to backup the project and encountered the error 'Failed to Attach to project'. Please advice on how I can rectify it.

What error did you get? If XMETA is corrupt then chances are that the login and security service can not function properly to determine your Information Server roles.

Hi Ray,

The error we got when we tried to log in was "Failed to authorize user against the selected doman SECJ0395E: etc...."

is there anyway we can export the DS jobs without login credentials ?

See if you can get the corrupted XMETA repaired.
