Hi,
Would anyone know the windows equivalent to running:
DSEngine/bin/uv -admin -start

I think actually there is a service involved on Windows but have nothing I can check that against.

I believe you're correct...I don't use the Windows installations very much, so I always forget about that. My apologies, John.

The online Information Center for IS has the correct information for startup and shutdown of IS in Windows in the Administration Topic, under Backup and Restoration of IS. You can do it from the command line or use the Services Administration Tool.

There is a DataStage applet in control panel.

The individual services can be stopped/started from the Services window under Control Panel.

Thank you all for your input. I have been usng the control panel to start and stop the DataStage services but unfortunately it does not allow me to do one at a time.....it's an all or none deal.
