EMAIL NOTIFICATION

Hi,

When a sub sequence fails I have to send a mail for that iam using email notification activity. Provided necessary parameters like server name, senders and recievers mail ids. But i am not receiving any mails. Do I have to configure SMTP server at UNIX SERVER. If I have to configure what are the things need to be configured.

Someone does, yes. That would typically be whomever administers that system. Ask your SysAdmin.

In DS Server there is a file called dstemplate.txt (not the exact name) which also needs to be updated

You can search for 'dssendmail_template.txt' in DS Server

Needs to be updated? No, not typically. Can be, sure, but generally works fine out of the box on UNIX provided sendmail is alive and working on the box.
