How can I get images / job documentation?

Post by niremy »

Hello there,

I'm making some documentations for my jobs and I'd like to add some job images to my document.
I'd like to know if it's possible to get the images that DataStage shows us when hovering over the job list ? I think it would be more accurate than making screen capture, especially for the large jobs with many stages.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Kim duke has loads of tips and tricks to share, go to his website and download DSaveAsBmp.bat to generate images of jobs.

you may need to customize it according to your needs.

Hopefully you found the button (that looks like it launches IE, or at least it did in 7.x) in the Designer that builds a 'job report' for the current job, including a picture of the canvas. As noted, you can also generate it at the command line.
