Warning on a specific column in OCI stage

Post by jayeeta_aec »

Hi ,

We are using Datatsgae server edition 7.5.1A. We are facing an warning on a specific column in OCI stage. We select the column from a view and map to a sequence file. The said column was added later on and mapped with its corresponding column from seq file. But it started giving warniing like "OCI has fetched truncated data".

We set the datatype of the column as varchar(120) while view has its datatype as varchar2(30 char). But still the warning is there as before.

Moreover, if we replace one existing column with the new one, the warning isnot popping up. Hence i would like to understand if there is any limitation in number of column that a OCI stage can fetch or it depends on any setting.

Can anybody give any idea to resolve the above?

Please let me know for more detail clarification of the issue.

Thanks in advance.

No. There isn't any limitation as such in number of column that a OCI stage can fetch. You can have n no. of columns in your OCI Stage.

There are several reasons for that Oracle message, if you do an exact search here for "OCI has fetched truncated data" you'll see a number of conversations on the subject. Go through them and see if any of them help.
