Email Notification of Status of Job run

Hi All,

I have around 20 Parallel jobs.My requirement is I need to send a mail which should contain the status of job.i.e,if job is success it should be just Success else if the Job was failed then the status has to be Job was failed along with the Reason for the failue.

Do I need to use the email notification activity for this in the Sequence job.(First of all do I need to use Sequence for this as all the Jobs are Independent).

Else DSSendMail routine Would meet my requirement?If so how can use it?

What is the difference between the two?(email notification activity & DSSendMail routine )

Also,could you plese let me know the sytax or example for the above two.
