I would to know what we have to change in Datastage after migrating on a server the Oracle version from 9 to 10.g .

We use ORAOCI 9 stage.

Do we have to modify ODBC connection on Datastage server ?

Same question if we have to change AIX version.

Thank you by advance for your answers

What is in the "upgrade" database ?

Data or metadata repository or any others?

I m not sure to well understand your question.

Only the oracle version will change. datas, connexions will stay the same.

i don't understand why you are talking about data or metadata repository. For me they don't have to change.

In that case you will not have anything to change.

The question about the 'metadata repository' was asked in case you were asking about upgrading the internal XMETA metadata repository from 9i to 10g but seeing how that's not possible (only 10g is supported) it just confused things.

So, out of curiosity are all external Oracle databases you currently connect to via OCI in your jobs changing to 10g or only some of them? Meaning will you be connecting to a mixture of versions or just 10g? Worst case you may need to upgrade the client installed on the DataStage server from 9i to 10g as well, but more than likely you won't have to do anything.

XMETA has a minimum version of Oracle 10g anyway, so that would be OK.
