Issue in domain name for information server

Post by arnabdey »

Hi

I am having Information Server installed on AIX. Initially when the installation was done the hostname command showed the fully qualified domain name for the server and hence the datastage credential is also created against this FQDN. But perhaps later the settings were changed at server level and hostname now returns the partially qualified name. So now whenever I create a project, the domain name comes against the partial name for which credential mapping is not there when I checked in the web console. I have checked the /etc/hosts file in the server and I have both the names against the ip; perhaps the partial name at first and then the fqdn in the alias field.

My question is can I create a domain alias at the information server level, so that both are treated the same. Or rather create a new domain with the partial server name and recreate credential mappings for it.

Thanks
Arnab
