We are interested in using a third party scheduler. An open source would be ideal in terms of cost. I would appreciate it if you can suggest any - we will study and evaluate it.
I've heard good feedbacks on Control-M. We can also resort to buying but am not sure how much it is per license/user. Any idea?
Thanks in advance...

Never used or evaluated any open source schedulers but I'm sure Google would turn some up for you. I've been involved with both Control-M and Tivoli implementations, both work well but anything 'Enterprise' will be pricey. And from what I recall, the price will depend on how many 'clients' you would need to run, i.e. how many servers would be serviced by the scheduler.
