Go to View and then Select the Repository option.

I also faced similar problem sometime back ...you have to go to registry edit and remove some of the entries ...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ascential Software\DSDesign\DSDesign*

ie DSDesign, DSDesign-Summary, DSDesign-Bar0, DSDesign-Bar1, DSDesign-BarN etc.

I got this from this forum ..

It will work because these entries contains docking information (as mentioned in one of the post) or better to say the customization settings.

Once you delete those entries it directly come to default settings.

Basically there is no way you can hide the menu bar (as far as I know) except manually changing the registry.

In my case it was at top-right corner of my screen and was invisible to me. I was lucky that a few simple drag-drop worked for me because I don't feel comfortable to change the registry directly and keep it for the last escape (before re-install ofcourse  ).

How to Go to View if you don't have a menu bar?

And question is not for getting repository but to get the menu bar itself.

Though i have edited the registry edit as stated above. Still the menu bar is not enabled. Is there an alternative solution ?

Are you running version 7 or version 8? The answer was for version 7. That's what you get for hijacking threads unthinkingly.

Ray,

True I was checking for the solution and accidentally ended up posting. As there would be no major difference in registry I thought the fix would be same.

I am using DataStage Version 8.5. Is there a separate fix for this problem ?
