DataStage SEQ unstable when updating the parms for jobs

I am updating a set of SEQ's with 7 job steps in ackh
Whem I update just one parm of say 6 for each job in the SEQ then OK out and save I can usually get up to job step 2 or 3 before DataStage cloese down - this makes the updating of parms very slow - If I try to update all the parms and triggers for a job the DataStage usually dies with
memory cannot be read
Is this a common problem with DatStage SEQ's?
How can I get around it?

SEQ? Do you mean Sequence job? If so, there are known crash bugs when editing a Sequence job and there is a specific client patch to resolve them. Ask your official support provider to... well, provide it.
