IBM Certified Solution Developer - InfoSphere DataStage v8.0

Post by cppwiz »

The new DataStage certification is available! Nine less questions than the v7.5 exam, so they dropped the maximum time from 105 minutes to 90 minutes. The passing score is still 75%. The cost is $175 USD in the United States.

Well spotted! Thanks for the links. I've written a review and study guide for version 8 of the exam at my blog at tinyurl.com/ds8exam.

I think the version 7 exam was slightly easier, but I took the exams a couple years apart so I could be mistaken, if you have the time to study and play with DataStage I would recommend the version 8 since it shows your skills are up to date. If you have passed version 7 then study up on the MQ Series stages and NLS as they are harder in the 8 exam.

Don't you think it would be more ethical to attempt the exam so as to test your actual knowledge, rather than to cheat by knowing the questions in advance?
