Saving XML file definitions

Post by Offshored2002 »

In Designer, under Table Definitions\XML, DS allows the name of a category to be created to contain a dash (-). However, when an actual XML table import is performed and an attempt is made to save the definition (under the Save Table Definition dialog box) in that category, DS complains about the dash with the message:
The table id must conform to the usual DataStage pattern: <DSN>\<Table>\<ID>, each segment being in the range of characters [a-zA-Z_0-9].

Changing the subcategory name to eliminate the dash or use an underscore (_) of course, works. DataStage Manager also allows table definitions to be moved into a folder containing a dash.

Should this be reported to IBM as a problem?
