What are the areas in datastage to look upon for tunning job

Hi,
What are the areas in datastage to look upon for tunning job?

Say for upserts what should be the transaction array size?
for insert updates what should be the transaction array size?

If anybody has more suggestions then please let me know?

Also i want to run the job on sun solaris unix.What command should i fire form the shell prompt?

please search on "Transaction Array Size" for a lot of posts on this Pubject. The command "dsjob" can be called from the Solaris (and HPUX,AIX,Linux,Windows) command line to start jobs.

When you run the job from Director, select the Tracing tab in the Job Run Options dialog and enable statistics collection for each active stage. The gathered statistics can be used to provide finer detail as to where each stage is spending the majority of its time.
