Hi there,

our customer plans to update from a 7.5.1 Server Edition to a 8x Enterprise Edition on a Windows OS with MS SQL Database.

It's been said that a Server Edition is included in the Enterprise Edition and that old SE jobs will run as they ran before.

Are there any pitfalls when migrating or is it really done by importing the 7.5.1 jobs into the new server?

The version 8 product spent over a year in beta testing so that as many pitfalls as possible would be eliminated. Word reaching me is that that part of the upgrade process (upgrade of server jobs) is as simple as it appears - indeed, they update in place, you don't even need to import them. Though on a new server you would, of course.
