Find/Search Jobs in Datastage Designer

Post by vishalprajapati »

I have created a Jobs but now it's not found at the location where it was previously located in Datastage Designer.
I suppose it got accidently moved to some other position.

Please help to locate the Job in Datastage Designer.

In short, let me know how to find/search the job in Datastage Designer.

Regards,
Vishal Prajapati

You know the job name but not where to find it? Use the Administrator:

Code: Select all

SELECT CATEGORY FROM DS_JOBS WHERE NAME = 'YourJobName';
You can also utilize the Filter Entries and uncheck the Show Categories option in the Director - in that order! Reverse the order once found. :wink:

Other work around way to find a job if you dont have access to the DS- Administrator is to go to any sequence job and then in the drop down list in properties tab of the job-activity stage select your job name(i.e. link your job name with that sequence job). Then you can right click the job activity stage and click open job. It will open the job. You can get the path for that job in job-properties

Search is available in Director. Having found the job, select it then choose Tools > Run Designer. The selected job will be opened.
