I thought information of that nature would start shipping with the 8.x releases? :?

For older versions, you could get the UniVerse User Reference or UniVerse Administration manuals from the IBM web site.

Or from the Administering DataStage class now offered by IBM. Beware, however, that this class is very heavily about parallel jobs.

I lifted them from an earlier post and yes, they seemed to have moved around. A simple search on the site took me here:

http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/u2 ... y/952univ/

Looks like a good starting point.

As you know Datastage has internal repository as Universe Databse, the command that you use to modify the tables and structure of Universe tables will the be Administrator command for Datastage.

If you "know" that, your knowledge is five or more years out of date. It used to be UniVerse; it stopped being UniVerse with effect from version 6.0.

 If this is true, I would simply say I have no knowledge at all. I am under the impression that the UV commands that is been use at TCL for any query for internal repository, is UniVerse.

And to my knowledge, the internal repository is getting changed to DB2 (Or Oracle) only from Version 8.

Or SQL Server.

And it's only version 9 of DB2 and only version 10g of Oracle.
