Renaming Datastage user name

Hi,

Is it possible to rename the existing user ids in Datastage? Existing User ids in our projects doesn't follow naming standards and needs to be changed. I tried to rename in web console, but it is not allowing. Is ther anyway to do this?

Create new user id, assign same access, insure the new user id has the same Windows file permissions (groups?) as prior id, test, remove old ID.

You have to remember, it's not about the tool, it's about the file access on the OS.

The tool user id and associated role are super easy to change. Making sure that the files that user id had access to and manipulated on the OS is the tricky part.

If you are using internal registry, map to the same OS user as the DS user you are deleting.
