THE CURRENT USER DOES NOT HAVE REQUIRED DATASTAGE ROLE SETUP

Hi I am getting this error message while I try to logon to DataStage
you please help me.

ERROR MESSAGE:

"THE CURRENT USER DOES NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED DATASTAGE ROLE S SETUP"

You need to go to Information Server first to create users and/or groups.

Was facing same error so thought of sharing the solution that worked for me.
Choose the below combination of Roles/Suite components for the user:
- DataStage and QualityStage User
- DataStage and QualityStage Administrator

Earlier I had selected only the "DataStage and QualityStage User" option for my user and thus was getting the error mentioned by OP.

Thats a 7 year old post and I hope it was already resolved. However for the last poster, below are some details.

When you give admin privilege you are not required to assign role to that user for a project. However you cannot give every one administrator privilege. If DataStage and QualityStage user privilege is assigned, you have to login to administrator client, select the project and under permissions tab, assign Developer, Operator, super operator etc roles to that user for that project. This is what this error about. User has been created but the role is not assigned in the permissions tab.
