SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle localhost:9080

Hi,

i am able to login into datastage desinger and director in ds8.5 version, but when i am trying to open to web console for information server i am getting below error,

SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle localhost:9080 has not been defined.

could you please help me on this and let me know if any information needed.

What exact version of Information Server are you running, and what exact URL did you use? The URL changes at different versions.

where

hostname is the host name or IP address of the machine on which the services tier is running.

Make sure you don't have any local or organizational firewall blocking the connection. It seems like a strange error; you may want to check with Support.

Hi Ray,

i tried to open with url which u advice, by given my mechine host name but it not success, and i am getting below error message.

The remote device or resource won't accept the connection Detected Detected

The device or resource (XXXXXX) is not set up to accept connections on port "9080".

Check the response file or install log to ascertain whether your site is using a non-default port number (that is, something other than 9080).
