uv file crashed (zero byte)

uv file crashed (zero byte)

Hi~

I'm using datastage 8.1.0.1 in AIX

one day, I saw engine folder... uv file's size is ZERO!

I coudn't know why....

I need to restore uv file...

there is no backup...no develop server...

Can I extract uv file from install file?

help me plz...

Exactly which file are you referring to? Could you specify the whole path to the file, please?

Why ever not?!!

If there's no backup, there's no way to restore.

Looks like you need to re-install. Do back up your projects first, however, as these may be recoverable.

the uv file that is gone is the executable, if that is the only file that has been corrupted you could get that retrieved. But unless you are certain that it is the only broken file you will have to do a new install.

If you have a service provider and tell them the exact version of DS you had, then they can send you the correct "uv" file.
