RFC Connection SetUp

Post by suneelchallagali »

Hi,

Need help regarding setting up RFC connection for DATASTAGE 9.1, we have followed the steps which IBM guys has suggested, but still we are not able to connect it ( might be some thing wee have missed). We have asked our Tech team to follow the steps which are mentioned in this link http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg21579738, even after setting up the function module and profiles. when we try to connect it still says RFC destination does not exists.

please can you suggest us, where exactly we are making the mistake.

Thank you,
suneel

The document link is unfortunately invalid. Is this a SAP RFC you are referring to?

Get rid of the comma at the end.

please can one provide or guide me the steps for setting for RFC connection for datastage. Here are the steps which till now

1. We have worked with our tech Team and created the 2 function modules and 2 profiles as IBM mentioned in this link
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg21579738

2.After the set up, we are trying to validate the connection from SAP ABAP stage, we got following error message "RFC Destination does not exit" but the RFC destination which we have provided exists.

3.We have ran the rfc trace and we got following error message.

ERROR UUID daemon (uuidd) not found.

Please ask your system administrator to install
uuidd according to SAP note 1391070.

We got stuck at this point.

Thank you,

Why is that? What kind of 'stuck' are you?
