Upgrade from DS 7.5 to 9.1 - metadata

We are planning to migrate from DS 7.5 to 9.1. We will be installing 9.1 on the same environment where 7.5 currently exists. If I want to retain my Datastage metadata, is there a way I can 'export' the 7.5 metadata and 'reimport' it into my xmeta tables after the installation of 9.1 ?
How should I handle it ?

You will be exporting your projects anyway. When you import them into the new system DataStage metadata will be taken care of automatically.
