DataStage Installation

Post by jerome_rajan »

Hi,

I'm facing a peculiar issue with my DataStage client and the team is unable to figure out the issue. Below is a list of issues

1. Cannot create new folders in the repository.
2. Cannot import table definitions
3. Cannot compile sequencers. Always get INTERNAL COMPILER ERROR
4. ctrl-F5 shortcut to run a job doesn't work.

This is not an access issue since, the same user id works perfectly well on a different machine. I tried re-installing the client but the issue still persists.

Has anyone faced similar issues?

Might this be permissions issues on the client machine? In particular look in and below "C:\IBM\InformationServer\Clients\Classic".

Thank you Ray. Can you please elaborate on what exactly should I be looking for under that folder?

Is your client perhaps installed on an unsupported operating system?

Can you get the computer re-imaged (fresh OS install)?
