Getting permission denied while trying to drop a table

Post by MANASHI »

I am using NETEZZA as the database and using DATASTAGE VERSION8.5.

While using the DRS_CONNECTOR stage in the BEFORE SQL we are writing a drop table command on a particular table. But when we are running the job we are getting error as "DROP TABLE PERMISSION DENIED".

Although,we have permission for drop table in the NETEZZA database that we are using for this job.

This error we are getting for a specific job. When we are using drop command with same CONNECTOR stage in which is accessing the same database it is working fine.

Also we have not changed any parameter, for the job which is giving us this error.

Please provide us an urgent assistance as for this our work is on hold.

Not sure how much anyone can help with a permissions problem - either you aren't trying to drop the table you think you are or you don't have the permissions you think you do - an you and your team are the only ones who can determine that. Double check. Triple check. Make no assumptions.

I'm curious - when you said "we have not changed any parameter" are you implying that this job used to drop the table and now won't? Or it never was able to?
