I am getting an error when trying to login to DataStage using DSDesigner client with ISADMIN id .I was able to goto project drop down box and select a project.I can login to web console perfectly.I checked the password policy on server, the option "password never expires is also checked".

Any thoughts on issue...please help.Thank you in advance.

I believe the engine credentials are not setup correctly for that user.

Check it under the Web Console, Administration Tab:
Domain management -> Engine Credentials (Select Server) -> Open User Credentials.

Needs to be set to a valid user-id and password on server system.

Thanks Andy.I have also got response from IBM(see below).

First shutdown DataStage Services in the following order:
- Information Server
- Websphere Service
- DB2 Services

Perform the instructions below for each user, as required, if you are using Local OS authentication.

isadmin
1. Open Information Server Admin Console
2. In Information Server Web Console > Administration Tab, Click Users
3. Click isadmin
4. Change password
5. Open Information Server Web Console
6. Update password in Datastage Credentials

Thank you,
Narsing
