istool export question

Hi,

i have exported a job using istool command line and while importing to datastage via Datastage Designer -> Import, im getting below error.
File << file path >> does not apprear to be a valid Datastage export file or is from an incompatible release.

A valid Datastage export file is expected to be in Windows format(i.e using CRLF line terminators).


I could able to import using istool command. but i want to import from datastage designer. Please let me know if there is any option.

The two formats are different and incompatible. You cannot import an istool-export using the designer.

Arnd is correct. You will need to use istool import command.
