Import problems in a new project

Hi All,

I am facing a peculiar problem. I have a dsx which I tried to import in a newly created project. It is failing with the error "Another job is being created - please try again later".

I tried to import the same dsx in another project and it is working fine.

We have imported dsx earlier in the project which is now throwing error.

Could you please help me in this.

While I haven't seen this particular error, I would suggest you restart the DataStage server and see if the problem persists.

Hi Arndw,

We may not be allowed to restart datastage server. I have asked to reindex the project and try to import again.

I hope you are aware that if you re-index while any clients are connected your project will look -empty- afterwards (from the director), and that if you get everyone off the system in order to re-index then restarting is a quick and easy process.

Thanks for that information. I was not aware of that. As you explained the best method will be to restart the server. Hopefully the problem of importing dsx will be resolved.
