Installing FIX pack and /tmp space is full

Post by peep »

how does /tmp space full affect when you are installing application in /opt/ IBM/InformationServer.

please provide me some information.

1)As I was installing a application the entire sever had issue and it corrupted WAS security and dsadm is not able to login in webconsole.

2) I have sudo to install command but not the "ROOT" access.

does /tmp space and installing with sudo have any adverse affect on the installation? Because my installation is not successful.so trying to trouble shoot and see what could cause this issue.

/tmp is used during installation, so make sure to have atleast 3 GB free space allocated to /tmp before installing fix pack. The second thing is that the installation should happen through root user since it is a pre-requisite for installation. Make sure to go through the system requirement before proceeding.
