Dsrecords Not found

Post by Prakash3366 »

Hi..

I am working on migration project.i.e.DS7.5 to DS8.5. In the Datastage 7.5 the dsrecords is working correctly and getting dataset count.
But in the datastage 8.5 the dsrecords is not working and getting error.
Please let me know , is there any settings we need to do to make it work properly.
$ dsrecords /app/billing/workfiles/StandardInvoiceMTD_P2.ds
ksh: dsrecords: not found.

Thanks
Prakash

It does exists, I think the path is set in 7.5 but not in 8.5. It is generally in ../PXEngine/bin. You should make sure that path is added to you PATH variable or you are running from the above mentioned directory.

Once you find it you may find the undocumented -n option useful. It returns just the number (the words are omitted).
