Hello Christian,

I think that you can take DataStage out of the equation, at least temporarily.

from your command line in a shell, try to execute

and you will most likely get the same mailer error. The 550-error tells me that your mailer-daemon isn't configured correctly and that mails can't be forwarded.

What is the contents of your "/etc/mail/sendmail.mc" file?

I assume that "srvpprodinfsrv.pronaca.com" is the datastage server, correct?
That tells me that the sendmail doesn't have a correct address to the smtp gateway/server for mail.

Can you post the "/etc/sendmail.cf" contents?

For UNIX and the Notification Activity stage, just leave the 'server' property empty.

Well - I guess I asked for it.... but if you look at the file you will see that you didn't actually add any information; the first section is the base configuration and nothing is specified. At a minimum you need to specify a real relay, perhaps "mail.yourdomain.com"

I'll say it again - if your error is coming from the stage rather than the command line, leave the mail server property there empty if you aren't doing that already. See if that fixes things.

If you can't get it to work from the command line then you've got bigger problems and need to involve your SysAdmins.
