Datastage 7.5 installation + uvregen issue

Hi All,

One of my friend tried to install Datastage 7.5 on windows 7 OS. While installing datastage server, he got the below error message.


Installation failed....

check uvregen_output.log file.


Content of Log file as below:


--------------------------------------------------------------
Command = uvregen 12121212 -s xxxxx-Dxxxx -d xxxxxx -l 8

Must be root or base administrator to run this process.
Verify the DSHOME setting.

It seems like we have to install the tool from ADMIN login. The thing is he used ADMINISTRATOR userid ONLY. I am just wondering why this
error message is coming.

is it possible to install datastage 7.5 on windows 7 OS ? if yes, why the above error message is coming ?

how to resolve it?
