unable to delete a job folder

Hi, guru

A job folder which contains a number of PX jobs cannot be opened in Director. however, I can still open it under Designer.

After I deleted all PX jobs successfully, I tried to open it in Director, it prompty a few message such as :

Cannot find job job1
Cannot find job job2
......

I found these jobs are actually don't exist in either XMETA repository or DS_JOBS.

Then I tried to reindex project, afterwards, I cannot even open this folder in Director - but I can still open it in Designer, it contains no job!

I tried to delete this folder from Designer, but it sill shows in Director.

how can I delete this folder from Director?

Ofcourse, datastage jobs can't be edited in director

but I can still open it in Designer, it contains no job!

You mean no stages in the job or no job itself?

What is your current situation? Did you delete the folder successfully in Designer? Do you still see the folder in Director?

Yes, I deleted this empty folder from Designer with no problem, but it still shows in Director, and it hang while I tried to open it.

any advise?

Have you disconnected and opened a new session?

Recreate the same folder in Designer and create a dummy job under it. Refresh Director window to see what happens.

If you see the dummy job in director, try deleting the job from director itself & refresh director window. Director should not show that empty folder. Empty folder should still exists in Designer. If this all works fine, then delete the folder from Designer

If you are on version 8.5 or later, run the SyncProject shell script to check project consistency.
