Post by DSRajesh »

Dear Experts,

I would like to know will datastage 8.5 version will support the connectivity with ORACLE 8i Databases.

If so which of oracle stages will support as oracle 8 stage not avialable in datastage v8.5

Your support provider, of course. That would be the official source for compatibility information like this. Keep in mind that Oracle ended their "Extended Support" for 8i at the end of 2006 so there's probably not a lot of guaranteed compatibility here.

No clue, as noted double-check with your support provider. The 8.5 documentation for Oracle doesn't note any version restrictions in it that I can see but I do see snippets like this:

This predicate is only available when you are building an Oracle 8i query with an 'old style' join expression.

Which would lead one to assume that 8i is supported, at least in some fashion.
