error while installing client

Post by mosheh »

Hi all,
I'm getting the following error in the system check stage while installing client:

The following directories must be in the system path: Windows, system32, system32/wbem.

Add %SystemRoot%, %SystemRoot%\System32, %SystemRoot%\System32\wbem in front of your System PATH, then restart installation. If you do not add these two paths, your installation will not succeed.

I'm installing with administrator permissions and I can see the directories
C:\WINDOWS\system32\
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem

Any suggestion what can be the cause?

Thanks ahead
Moshe H.

Is C:\WINDOWS in your PATH?

Thanks for the quick response, Ray.

What exactly do you mean "in your path"?
Is the fact those two directories exist - not enough?

Nope, not enough. As noted they need to be in your Path environment variable. My Computer / right-click / Properties / Advanced tab / Environment Variables, then edit Path in the System variables window to include them as noted.
