FieldToProp: Internal error - Bad number of subobjects

Post by kirankumarreddydesireddy »

Hi,

We are getting below error when we are trying to open a routine stage in a sequence job.
However we click ok and proceed and we are able to run jobs scuccesfully.

We have similar problem for all users in specific project only.
We have Datastage 7.5v Server edition installed on MS 2003 R2 SP2.

I had searched for the similar issue in the forums, but couldn't find the solution.

It was working fine till yesterday.Do we need to install any patch?

Error :

FieldToProp: Internal error - Bad number of subobjects

Can anyone let me know how to resolve this issue?

Thanks
Kiran

Hi Chulett

There was below suggestion :

You need to connect via telnet to your (Windows) server machine, and specify the project that you want to use. When the ">" prompt appears, type DS.TOOLS to invoke the menu.
and there was some premiun content after this.

not sure what to do?(premiun content contain).

Can anyone let mte know the exact process.

From which machine i need to telnet to windows server machine?

what to do after typing DS.TOOLS?

Thanks

Were the objects (routine and sequence) created in, or imported into, the project?

The routine activity and seq are imported from Dev environment.
These were imported long back(i mean not recently)
These were working fine till 3 days back.

What changed three days back? "Nothing" is not the correct answer.

Hi Ray

As already mentioned, this is happening only in one particular project.
However, the jobs are getting compiled and running fine in this project.

Not sure what exactly you are mentioning that might have "Changed".

Can you please through a light on what you think that would have "Changed"?

Thanks

No-one can know the answer to that except you and yours. Did anything 'unusual' happen five days ago? System crash, ran out of disk space, anything?
