Availability of Datastage BASIC routines

Post by evee1 »

We have a new installation of Datastage 8.5 and I would like to be able to use some DS routines, for example DSSetUserStatus, but I can only find a handful of DS routines, rather than a full set decribed here:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocente ... rface.html

Just wondering whether there is any standard set of DS routines that comes with a new DataStage installation? Should IBM install them all?

They ARE all there. But the source code is not necessarily exposed in the repository. You will be able to choose them from the appropriate list when using the expression editor. Note that very few of them are available for parallel jobs - but they are available for Routine activities and server jobs.

Thanks. It looks like I can call DSSetUserStatus in the routine, so it's fine.
I just thought (and I was wrong!) that I should be able to see the in Repository.
