DS Admin client access

Post by prasad111 »

There are two projects
PROJECT_A
PROJECT_B

USERA1 and USERA2 are in GROUPA (and the project folder in server can be accessed only by the users present in GROUPA)
USERB1 and USERB2 are in GROUPB (and the project folder in server can be accessed only by the users present in GROUPB)

GROUPA and GROUPB are in dstage group.

USERA1 and USERA2 can access DS Designer, DS Director and DS Administrator without any problem

USERB1 and USERB2 can access DS Designer and DS Director without any problem but when tried to login to DS Administrator the users get the following error and the DS Administrator closes which is correct (because the PROJECT_A lists first in the project list in the DS Administrator so it tries to access that project and closes it)

Error:
Failed to connect to DataStage server: TEST_SERVER, project: PROJECT_A
( The directory you are connecting to either is not a UV account or does not exist (39125))
Is there a way to login to Administrator without closing the application (That is the USERB1 and USERB2 can access DS Administrator in PROJECT_B)?

DataStage Administrator should present you with a list of projects and wait until you have selected one. If this is not the case do contact your official support provider, because this is not correct behaviour.

There is a client patch (interim) which will allow you to login to DS Admin client after seeing an warning message. The patch number is JR34844.

They have identified a bug and will be released in the future release (don't have details about the bug or the release number)
