Datastage 8.1 installation - Opening Ports

Hi All,

I am trying to install IS 8.1 on a solaris box which does not have the ports such as 9080 open. (netstat -n |grep 9080 - returned nothing)

I think there isn't any firewall installed on the unix m/c and the client m/c does not have any issues in talking to unix m/c.

So do I still have to manually open the ports or will IS take care of that during install? FYI-I plan on doing a silent install.

If yes then how do I open port in Solaris 10?

I would appreciate any help.
