Read-Only access to Director

Post by reddy »

Hi,

I'm trying to setup read-only datastage account and the lowest role i have is operator which allow to run a job. By assigning the operator role, i could limit the user from editing a job. Cool with that.

Are there ways to restrict the access to run a etl job in director?

Does information server has such feature to limit a user?

Advance thanks for your time.

So... you are looking for a way to... view job logs? Check job status? What are you after with this access?

Yes. To check if the job has run, it's status, and contents of log. Basically to see the log to troubleshoot the error instead of reaching out to an operator

There is currently no role that prohibits running a job.
