Issues when installing IIS 8.1 on SUSE 10 SP1

Post by Perwezakh »

Hi IIS Gurus,
I am trying to install IIS 8.1 on SUSE 10 SP1. I am selecting Engine and Services to be installed on this server and using xmeta on Oracle on a different server.
After filling out DataBase connection information for Metadata Server Repository.. I am NOT getting WebSphare Server Selection Screen to select a New Installation... Instead its asking for WebSphare Server Location..
What can be the issue here? Please advice.

By the way I am using InfoSvr_v8.1_SUSE_x86.tar and default license file.
The server details are: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (i586)

You must install was BEFORE you install IIS.

Everything is fine until Database for metadata connection screen (I am using Oracle 10g on a different server) I am getting a screen where it is asking for existing WAS installation path.

Well I am doing a fresh IIS 8.1 install. I am selecting Services and Engine tier on the same server and Metadata (xmeta) on different server.

Typically I should get the radio button option to select if it is a New WAS installation or Existing WAS installation but I am not getting this option. It is directly asking me to point to the existing WAS installation path...

I am confused.. Is something wrong with the InfoSvr_v8.1_SUSE_x86.tar.gz installer package?? or I am doing something wrong.

Any ideas or suggestions??? Please help me guys..

Thanks in advance!

Must be fully documented in IBM InfoCenter.

Also you need the software. It is separate from InfoSphere.
