How is the Datastage market this year?

Hi Everyone,

My current project will end in a few weeks and I will soon be on the market again, can anyone let me know how the market is these days? I do receive emails and phone calls almost everyday but the rates are kind of low.

pingu - this is a global forum, it would help if you were to specify exactly where you are. The market in the UK is weak(ish) but picking up, Australia seems to be actively looking for people again, Germany and France are going strong and desperately looking for consultants. I haven't been following developments in the USA.

ds_teg - that market overview you posted from odinjobs is now a year old - not sure that it is relevant in today's market.

I'm seeing that the job market on the East Coast is still soft, but picking up.
