Please be careful with your spelling, grammar and punctuation. It would be vital that your presentation is professional whether you were creating a functional document or a technical document.
Their meanings may vary, depending on who you ask. To my mind a functional document is one that describes what some system does (or is to do), while a technical document describes how it is done (or is to be done).
There are many other kinds of document as well. And there is likely to be overlap. If you use FastTrack to create source-to-target mappings you have an initially functional document but, if you use DataStage expressions to specify the transformations then you have something closer to a technical document.
