what is OCI in datastage px..?

pls expalin in detail what is use of that..?

is it available ....in parallel or server jobs?

OCI = Oracle Client Interface. Effectively, it is the Oracle client software that must be installed on your DataStage server.

As far as Oracle is concerned, a DataStage job is just another client application.

For server jobs there is a stage called OCI, which invokes the client interface directly. The Oracle Enterprise stage in parallel jobs uses the Oracle client software too. I suspect, but don't know, that the Oracle Connector also does.
